Studio Policies, Terms and Conditions

  1. Business Hours
    The Studio is open Monday to Friday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, and Saturday from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. The studio is closed on Sundays, Victorian school holidays, and Victorian public holidays. All Free Assessments and coaching sessions (music or business) are by appointment only​.
     

  2. Duration of lessons
    All individual or group lessons and all coaching sessions are conducted for one hour per week. As a policy, the Studio does not accept 30-minute lessons except for students below 7 years old and those with special needs. Special arrangements can be made during the Free Assessment consultation.
     

  3. Booking and Registration for Free Assessment/Initial Consultation
    Registration and bookings for all lessons and coaching sessions must be done online via our website: https://www.bennoynay.com/bnms-booking-registration. All bookings are confirmed by email, text message, or telephone call from Ben Noynay only.​​
       

  4. Advanced Payment Policy
    Once the Enrolment Form is duly completed, submitted and accepted, the student is considered officially enrolled, and full payment for the whole school Term or a total of ten lessons must be paid in full prior to start of first lesson.
     

  5. No Refunds Policy
    No refund of fees will be allowed for lessons missed. Notification of absence must be received at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled session to be eligible for a make-up lesson. Failure to do so will forfeit payment for missed lesson. If the teacher cancels a lesson, the teacher will undertake to make necessary adjustments, as far as that may be possible. Additional lessons agreed to by the parents will be charged at the official advertised rate.

     

  6. Termination of Lessons Policy
    Music lessons may be terminated by either the teacher or the student, or the student's parents or guardians by giving a 14-day Notice either by email or text message. When the Termination discussion is concluded, the student's account shall remain active within 14 days from the date of notification of termination, and will still be serviced by the teacher. After 14 days, the student account is considered closed and any remaining paid lessons and all monies paid will be forfeited, as the studio operates a "No Refunds Policy" (see item No. 5 above).  
     

  7. Make-up Lessons Policy
    All make-up lessons must be arranged and agreed by both students/parents and the teacher.
     

  8. Reservation Fee
    At the start of Term 4, all returning students are required to pay a non-refundable Reservation Fee of $100.00 in order to keep the scheduled day and time of their lessons for the following year. If the official enrolment occurs, the Reservation Fee is credited as part of the full payment.
     

  9. Late Arrivals
    Students arriving late will not have their lesson/coaching time extended. If a student is more than fifteen minutes late the teacher will still conduct the music lesson/coaching session until the allocated time is consumed and full payment still applies.
     

  10. Care of Students
    The Studio is not responsible for providing care for students. Parents with students under the age of 6 are asked to remain in the Studio waiting area during lessons. Young students are not to be left at the Studio for an excessive time before or after lessons.
     

  11. Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events
    It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to be aware of Studio activities such as recitals, AMEB enrolment and exam dates as well as dates the Studio is open and closed. We will make every effort to inform all students of activities by posting them within the Studio, on the website, our Facebook Page and by email. Please notify the Studio immediately of any change of address, email or telephone number.
     

  12. Parking
    Street parking is available outside the Studio premises.
